IHARA Launches Two Innovative Fungicides in Brazil

IHARA, a leading agrochemical company, has announced the launch of two new fungicides that introduce novel active ingredients to the Brazilian market, aiming to improve disease control and resistance management in key crops such as soybeans, corn, rice, and fruits.

The first product, Fusão EC, combines metominostrobin a new strobilurin molecule never before used in Brazil with tebuconazole. This formulation offers both preventive and curative action against critical pathogens like Phakopsorapachyrhizi (Asian soybean rust), corn rust, wheat leaf spot, and rice blast. Metominostrobin’s rapid absorption and systemic protection provide farmers with a new option to tackle diseases that have shown increasing resistance to traditional fungicides.

The second product, Ecoshot, is a biological fungicide based on the beneficial bacterium Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747. Approved for use on a wide range of fruits and vegetables, Ecoshot is effective against diseases such as gray mold, powdery mildew, stalk rot, and citrus variegated chlorosis. It can be used right up to harvest due to its zero chemical residue, supporting export-friendly and sustainable agricultural practices.

These two launches reflect IHARA’s commitment to combining chemical innovation and biological control to provide farmers with diverse, effective tools for integrated disease management. The company emphasized that these products are essential additions to their strategy of combating resistance and promoting productivity while meeting the growing demand for environmentally responsible solutions.
