Krishi Jagran Unveils “Agri Icons: 40 Under 40” to Honor Young Trailblazers in Farming

In a move to shine a spotlight on youth leadership in agriculture, Krishi Jagran has launched its “Agri Icons: 40 Under 40” campaign an initiative aimed at recognizing young changemakers who are reshaping the future of Indian farming.

Open for nominations until September 2025, the program will honor 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are making a tangible impact in areas such as AgriTech, organic and sustainable farming, policy innovation, agri-marketing, and climate-smart agriculture. Winners will be announced at a major event in November 2025.

Candidates may include startup founders, policy advisors, researchers, FPO leaders, or social entrepreneurs who are working to improve the agricultural landscape. KrishiJagran is encouraging nominations from both individuals and organizations, hoping to uncover lesser-known stories of grassroots transformation.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of KrishiJagran, Mr. M.C. Dominic, emphasized the need to celebrate the next generation of leaders. “We are witnessing a new wave of agricultural innovators young, dynamic, and socially aware. This platform is our way of celebrating their contributions and helping them grow,” he said.

Beyond the awards, the selected icons will gain access to mentorship, media coverage, skill-building sessions, and networking opportunities, forming an alumni group that can collaborate on future projects and policy ideas.

The campaign comes at a time when Indian agriculture is rapidly evolving with the help of digital tools, AI, and sustainable practices. However, the aging farming population poses a challenge to this transition. By showcasing agriculture as a rewarding career path, “Agri Icons: 40 Under 40” aims to inspire more young people to join and lead the sector.

With a history of impactful agri-events and leadership summits, KrishiJagran is well-positioned to drive this initiative forward. As anticipation builds, the spotlight is firmly on the youth shaping the next chapter of Indian agriculture.
