
The Agriculture Rath was flagged off from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Alirajpur as part of Madhya Pradesh Government’s initiative to celebrate 2026 as the “Agriculture Year.” This initiative aims to bring modern agricultural technologies and government schemes directly to farmers. The Rath was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav from Bhopal, who gave it the green signal. The live broadcast of the event was viewed by district officials and local representatives at the KVK Alirajpur.
At the district level, the Rath was flagged off from KVK Alirajpur in the presence of BJP District President Mr. Maku Porwal, BJP District General Secretary Mr. Montu Shah, MLA representative Mr. Govinda Gupta, Deputy Director of Agriculture Mr. S.S. Chauhan, and other officials. Also present were Assistant Director of Horticulture Mr. Kailash Chauhan, Project Director ATMA Mr. Dadu More, Agricultural Scientist Dr. Rakesh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Cooperative Mr. G.L. Solanki, Assistant Director of Fisheries Mr. Sachin Chauhan, and other departmental staff.
Deputy Director of Agriculture S.S. Chauhan stated that Agriculture Raths have been dispatched to all development blocks in the district and will reach every Gram Panchayat. Each Rath will be accompanied by a technical team comprising officers from agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries departments, agricultural scientists, and progressive farmers.
The initiative aims to guide farmers on adopting scientific farming practices, increasing productivity, and learning about the latest agricultural technologies and government schemes. Before the sowing of Kharif, Rabi, and Zaid crops, farmers will receive useful guidance through the Rath.
Through the Agriculture Rath, farmers will be informed about organic and natural farming, soil health cards, balanced use of fertilizers, pest and disease management, crop diversification, crop residue management, and methods to make farming more profitable. Additionally, information about various government agricultural schemes and fertilizer distribution under the e-token system will also be shared.
