The Pioneer’s Biofuels360 Conference brought together leading voices from industry, research, and policy to deliberate on the future of clean energy in India. A key highlight was the panel discussion on “Powering the Transition: Ethanol’s Strategic Role in India’s Clean Energy Future”, where experts shared insights on ethanol’s potential to accelerate India’s decarbonisation journey, strengthen energy security, and create new rural economic opportunities.

The panel featured eminent speakers including Mr. S. K. Shukla, President, UP Distillers Association; Mr. Vikram Gulati, MD, Toyota Kirloskar; Mr. Sanjay Ganjoo, Director General, IFGE; and Mr. Ravi Gupta, Executive Director, Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd. The session was chaired by Dr. Vibha Dhawan, an eminent figure in the field of sustainable development.

Adding academic depth to the proceedings, a panelist from Amity University highlighted the crucial role of research and innovation in supporting India’s biofuel ambitions. Recognising its contribution, Amity University was conferred the “Academic Excellence in Biofuel Innovation” award, reinforcing its position as a leading institution driving sustainable energy research.

Speaking on the occasion, the panelist expressed delight at the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with thought leaders and policy experts. “The future of sustainable energy is collaborative, and platforms like Biofuels360 strengthen the bridge between innovation, policy, and grassroots implementation,” they noted.

The conference served as a pioneering platform for stakeholders to align strategies and accelerate India’s clean energy transition through biofuels, particularly ethanol, as a cornerstone of the nation’s energy roadmap.
