The inaugural Earth Summit 2025, jointly organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), commenced today in Hyderabad, bringing together leaders from agriculture, technology, finance, and policy to chart a sustainable future for rural India.
The landmark event aims to accelerate rural innovation, promote climate-smart agriculture, and strengthen the digital and financial ecosystem needed for resilient rural development. Stakeholders from government agencies, agritech startups, financial institutions, research organizations, and international development partners are participating in the multi-day summit.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, officials emphasized the growing importance of integrating technology and sustainability to address challenges such as climate change, resource constraints, productivity stagnation, and rural livelihood vulnerabilities.
