Earth Summit 2025 Kicks Off in Hyderabad, Spotlight on Rural Innovation and Climate-Smart Growth

The inaugural Earth Summit 2025, jointly organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), commenced today in Hyderabad, bringing together leaders from agriculture, technology, finance, and policy to chart a sustainable future for rural India.

The landmark event aims to accelerate rural innovation, promote climate-smart agriculture, and strengthen the digital and financial ecosystem needed for resilient rural development. Stakeholders from government agencies, agritech startups, financial institutions, research organizations, and international development partners are participating in the multi-day summit.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, officials emphasized the growing importance of integrating technology and sustainability to address challenges such as climate change, resource constraints, productivity stagnation, and rural livelihood vulnerabilities. Discussions will highlight opportunities in precision farming, renewable energy in agriculture, water-use efficiency, soil-health management, and the rising role of artificial intelligence and digital platforms in transforming rural economies.

The summit will also explore policy frameworks and financing models that can support scalable, climate-resilient agricultural practices. Sessions on green investments, risk-management tools, rural credit delivery, and public-private partnerships are expected to be major attractions.

By convening experts from diverse sectors, the Earth Summit 2025 aims to foster collaborative solutions that can drive inclusive growth and ensure long-term ecological balance. Organizers noted that the outcomes of the summit could play a pivotal role in shaping India’s roadmap toward sustainable rural transformation.

The Earth Summit continues through the week with technical sessions, panel discussions, technology showcases, and strategic dialogues focused on building a climate-resilient rural future.
