India has announced a new set of farmer-focused initiatives aimed at strengthening rural livelihoods and agricultural resilience in Uttarakhand. The Union Agriculture Minister confirmed the rollout of crop insurance payouts alongside major investments in rural infrastructure, supported by a five-year horticulture development strategy designed to boost incomes and reduce farming risks in the hill state.
