In a significant step toward promoting climate-smart and water-efficient agriculture, Kisan Kraft’s top leadership met with senior officials of the Odisha government to discuss the transformative potential of Dry Direct Seeded Rice (Dry DSR) in the state.
Shri Ravindra Agrawal, Chairman of Kisan Kraft, and Shri Amit Sharma, CEO of Kisan Kraft, had the honour of meeting the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, Smt. Pravati Parida. The meeting also included the presence of key government leaders:
- Smt. Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Departments of Water Resources and Planning & Convergence
- Shri Deepankar Mohapatra, Director, Tourism Department, Odisha
The discussions centered on how Dry DSR technology can help Odisha address one of its most pressing challenges—water scarcity—while simultaneously enhancing farm productivity and resilience. Dry DSR significantly reduces water consumption compared to traditional paddy cultivation, enabling farmers to adopt sustainable methods that are aligned with climate realities.
Kisan Kraft highlighted the immense potential of Dry DSR to:
- Improve water-use efficiency
- Reduce labour dependency
- Lower cultivation costs
- Accelerate adoption of climate-smart rice production
- Support long-term agricultural sustainability in Odisha
The meeting reinforced Kisan Kraft’s commitment to partnering with state governments to drive innovation-led, resource-efficient farming solutions across India.
Kisan Kraft remains dedicated to empowering farmers with advanced technologies and sustainable practices that secure a prosperous agricultural future for Odisha and the nation.
