CLEAN (Inculcating Cleanliness, Learning, Education, Awareness, and New Habits).
Inspired by the Government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the I-CLEAN program is transforming rural vegetable markets critical income hubs for farmers—by improving infrastructure, sanitation, and hygiene standards. What started as a single project in East Champaran, Bihar, has now expanded to 26 projects across Bihar, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The initiative has already delivered remarkable results, including a 42% increase in income for vendors and farmers.
Through I-CLEAN, Syngenta has reaffirmed its commitment to driving rural prosperity and promoting healthier, more sustainable livelihoods. The program highlights the power of public-private partnerships in creating resilient and inclusive farming communities.
Speaking on the recognition, Syngenta noted that the award strengthens its resolve to continue supporting farmers and rural communities with initiatives that ensure prosperity, sustainability, and dignity of life.
This achievement stands as a testament to the company’s long-term CSR vision and the dedication of the team behind I-CLEAN.
