Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Distributes Appointment Letters at Rozgar Mela in Bhopal

Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, distributed appointment letters to selected candidates during the Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Mela held in Bhopal today. The nationwide employment initiative saw over 51,000 youths receiving government job appointment letters, marking another significant step towards fulfilling the Centre’s commitment to employment generation.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the event virtually, congratulating the appointees and reaffirming the government’s dedication to empowering India’s youth.

In his address at the event, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan called the Prime Minister’s current tenure a “golden era” for the country. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, over 25 crore people have successfully come out of poverty. This is not just a statistic — it’s proof of our government’s people-centric policies and inclusive development,” he said.

Highlighting the transparency in the recruitment process, Shri Chouhan said, “More than 10 lakh youth have already been appointed to government positions in this term alone. Today, over 51,200 appointment letters are being distributed across various central government departments, including the Indian Railways, through a fair and merit-based selection system.”

He further stated, “Whether direct or indirect, employment opportunities have expanded significantly. The youth today are stepping into roles where they are not just earning a livelihood, but actively contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).”

Extending his congratulations to the newly appointed employees, Shri Chouhan said, “This achievement is not only a milestone in your personal journey, but also a proud moment for the nation. You are now important partners in building a stronger, developed India. I thank Prime Minister Modi for his relentless commitment to empowering our youth and ensuring a bright future for the country.”

The Rozgar Mela initiative continues to be a transformative employment campaign by the Government of India, aimed at providing meaningful employment to the country’s talented and aspiring youth.
