BASF Launches Luxinum Herbicide in Indonesia, Marking Global Debut for Rice Farming

BASF Agricultural Solutions has announced the successful launch of its latest innovation, Luxinum® herbicide, in Parigi Moutong, Central Sulawesi. This marks a major advancement for rice cultivation in Indonesia and the global agricultural sector, as Luxinum makes its worldwide debut specifically for rice crops.

Luxinum is a newly developed pre-emergent herbicide formulated with Luximo Active. It is designed to effectively control difficult and resistant grasses, keeping rice fields clean for up to 21 days. What sets Luxinum apart is its novel mode of action, classified as group 30, offering farmers a new and highly effective solution in weed management.

The launch event was met with strong enthusiasm from farmers and channel partners. BASF’s team engaged directly with the local agricultural community, showcasing how Luxinum can help address long-standing weed control challenges in rice farming. This product is not just a technological advancement it represents a renewed commitment to supporting Indonesian farmers with reliable and innovative tools.
