He urged scientists to design projects that address regional challenges, aiming to enhance both farm productivity and farmer income.

He also pointed out that it is not enough to merely draft proposals; their relevance, applicability, and tangible impact must also be ensured. Special attention was given to the development of new crop varieties, innovative extension methodologies, and productivity-enhancing technologies.

Strong Emphasis on Publications and Patents

Encouraging researchers to publish in reputed national and international journals, Dr. Singh stressed that scientific achievements should be recognized through quality publications and patents. He linked these accomplishments not only to individual success but also to institutional reputation and national rankings.

Increase in Student Placement Strengthens University Reputation

Vice Chancellor Dr. K.K. Singh shared that the university has seen a notable rise in student placements, thanks to consistent efforts to improve academic and professional development. This upward trend has not only benefited students in their career paths but also boosted the university’s standing at both state and national levels.

Research on Emerging Technologies Encouraged

Dr. Raj Rishi Gaur, Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), highlighted the need to focus on emerging technologies such as biotechnology in upcoming research projects. He emphasized bridging the gap between laboratory research and field application to ensure timely technical benefits for farmers.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director General Dr. Parvinder Singh called for a strong commitment to high-quality research writing and patenting, underlining the urgent need for every scientist to pursue excellence in research.

University Showcases Achievements Through Presentations
