Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Participates in Multiple Programs in Budhni, Lays Foundation for Development Projects Worth ₹110 Crore

the day by taking part in tree plantation drives, the ‘Healthy Woman, Empowered Family’ program, and a blood donation camp, addressing the participants on the importance of women’s health and family empowerment. He emphasized that good health is the first happiness in life, and focusing on women’s well-being strengthens the entire family and society. During the program, health check-ups were conducted for local women, and nutritional kits were distributed to support their health.

The Minister also participated in the Prabuddhjan Dialogue program, meeting local traders and discussing GST reforms in detail. He highlighted that reductions in GST rates should directly benefit farmers and the general public. For example, a 35-horsepower tractor will become nearly ₹41,000 cheaper, allowing both small and large farmers to afford modern machinery more easily.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan encouraged the adoption of domestic products, noting that it not only creates employment but also strengthens the national economy. He underlined that India’s growing population and vast market are among the country’s greatest strengths. He further noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is rapidly becoming self-reliant, with products such as mobile phones and semiconductor chips now being manufactured domestically.

During his visit, the Minister laid the foundation for various development projects in Budhni worth ₹110 crore, including:

  • 750-bed medical college
  • 50-bed civil hospital
  • Sports complex costing ₹23.06 crore
  • Convention center costing ₹10.99 crore
  • Rental housing project costing ₹35.61 crore

Additionally, the area now features institutions like CM Rise School, ITI, and local colleges, and the establishment of factories has improved the purchasing power of local residents.

The Minister also shared details about the MP Sports Festival, which will involve active participation from children, women, and girls. Events will include tug-of-war, lemon race, chair race, kabaddi, and cricket. He encouraged local communities to register their teams and participate in the competitions.

Addressing the public, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said,
“A healthy woman and empowered family form the foundation of a strong society. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, our country is rapidly moving towards self-reliance. Budhni is progressing continuously, and we are committed to improving the quality of life in every sector.”
