Two-Day Training on e-LISS Software for Integrated Sample Survey Held for North Zone States and UTs

The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, successfully conducted a two-day zonal training programme on the e-LISS software (Mobile App & Dashboard) under the Integrated Sample Survey on 29th–30th September 2025 in New Delhi.

The training brought together State and District Nodal Officers from Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Praveen Malik, Animal Husbandry Commissioner (AHC), in the presence of Shri Jagat Hazarika, Advisor (Statistics), Dr. Prachi Misra Sahoo, Principal Scientist & Principal Investigator, ICAR-IASRI, along with other senior officials from the department.

The training aimed to:

  • Familiarize officers with the latest developments in the e-LISS application.
  • Identify key data gaps and improve the accuracy of reporting.
  • Enhance reporting of Major Livestock Products (MLP) including milk, eggs, wool, and meat across all States and Union Territories of India.

Officials highlighted that the training will play a crucial role in strengthening livestock data collection, enabling more informed policy decisions and improving the efficiency of livestock production monitoring nationwide.

The e-LISS software, with its mobile and dashboard interface, is expected to facilitate real-time, accurate data entry, ensuring that the Integrated Sample Survey produces reliable and comprehensive information for the country’s livestock sector.
