India and Argentina have signed a bilateral work plan for 2025–2027 aimed at deepening cooperation in agricultural research, capacity building, and technology transfer. The agreement seeks to foster innovation, enhance productivity, and create opportunities for knowledge exchange between the two leading agricultural economies.
Under the framework, both countries will collaborate on scientific research projects, share expertise in crop management and sustainable practices, and promote the adoption of advanced agricultural technologies. Capacity-building initiatives will focus on training researchers, extension personnel, and farmers to strengthen farm-level productivity and resilience.
The partnership is expected to bolster innovation across crop production, post-harvest management, and agri-technology development, while also facilitating joint research programs addressing global challenges such as climate change, food security, and sustainable farming.
Officials from both nations highlighted that the collaboration will build stronger scientific and institutional ties, creating a platform for long-term engagement and mutual growth in agriculture. By leveraging each country’s strengths in research, technology, and agribusiness, the agreement aims to deliver tangible benefits to farmers, industry stakeholders, and the broader food system.
This strategic cooperation underscores the shared commitment of India and Argentina to advance global agricultural innovation, support sustainable practices, and strengthen bilateral relations in the agri-sector.
