According to the official statement released by Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), the overall tractor sales for June 2025 stood at 53,056 units, including 1,287 units exported to global markets. While domestic sales witnessed healthy double-digit growth, exports saw a slight decline compared to the previous year.
Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra, expressed optimism over the positive performance. He attributed the strong sales to timely monsoon activity, good reservoir levels, and continued government support for agriculture. “The onset of the monsoon and improved kharif sowing have boosted farmer sentiment. Tractor demand is likely to remain stable in the coming months,” he stated.
The company also highlighted that its year-to-date performance for the current fiscal year has been encouraging, backed by a steady pickup in rural economic activity and infrastructure development in farming communities.
Mahindra continues to maintain its leadership position in the Indian tractor industry, offering a wide range of technologically advanced and fuel-efficient tractors tailored to diverse farming needs. The company is also focusing on innovation and digital solutions to enhance the farming experience for Indian farmers.
With favorable weather patterns and policy initiatives supporting agriculture, Mahindra’s outlook for the upcoming quarter remains positive. The company plans to strengthen its dealer network and service infrastructure to meet increasing demand across regions.
