Agricon India 2026 Curtain Raiser: Grand Celebration of Indian Agriculture to be Held in Delhi-NCR

The curtain raiser ceremony for Agricon India 2026, one of India’s most significant trade fairs dedicated to the agriculture sector, was successfully held yesterday at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The event formally announced that Agricon India 2026 will be organized from 16th to 18th December 2026 in the Delhi-NCR region.

The mega event is being organized by Messe Muenchen India, one of the country’s leading B2B trade fair organizers. With India’s rapidly evolving agricultural economy in focus, Agricon India 2026 aims to create a high-impact platform where farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, cooperatives, manufacturers, exporters, investors, and policymakers can come together to exchange ideas, explore innovations, and discover global-standard solutions for sustainable and future-ready agriculture.

Distinguished Guests and Expert Panel

The curtain raiser witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities from the agricultural ecosystem. The panel discussion featured:

  • Dr. K. M. L. Pathak, Former Vice-Chancellor, DUVASU, Mathura

Experts discussed the core focus areas of Agricon India 2026 and emphasized that the event must be farmer-centric, addressing farmers’ practical needs, technological advancements, and future agricultural strategies.

The event also celebrated progressive farmers who are shaping modern Indian agriculture. Padma Shri awardee Dr. Bharat Bhushan Tyagi shared his inspiring farming journey and suggested that Agricon India should include a dedicated Farmers’ Pavilion featuring workshops and training sessions tailored for farmers.

Similarly, progressive farmer Karnail Singh highlighted the importance of such platforms in bridging the gap between farmers and modern farming practices, enabling them to adopt innovative and sustainable methods.

Srinivasan Srikant, Executive Director (Growth & Strategic Advisory), Messe Muenchen India, presented the overall vision and roadmap for the event.
