Bayer Crop Science Canada Introduces EverGol® Rise, Advancing Pulse Disease Control and Ease of Use

Bayer Crop Science Canada has announced the launch of EverGol® Rise, a next-generation seed treatment designed to elevate disease protection and streamline the user experience for Canadian pulse growers. Representing a significant upgrade over Bayer’s previous Trilex® EverGol® formulation, EverGol Rise brings together four active ingredients to deliver broader, deeper, and more consistent control of seed- and soil-borne pathogens, including tough diseases such as ascochyta.

According to Ashley Smith, Product Manager at Bayer Crop Science, EverGol Rise is poised to be a transformational addition for farmers. She notes that the new all-in-one formulation offers unmatched convenience in comparison with the two-part Trilex EverGol system, allowing growers to save valuable time during the fast-paced seeding season. The enhanced formulation also includes deeper colour pigmentation to help farmers visually confirm uniform seed coverage.

EverGol Rise is engineered to provide a comprehensive disease protection profile for pulse crops. Its four active ingredients work together to control key pathogens including Fusarium species, rhizoctonia solani, and now ascochyta, delivering stronger and more reliable early-season defence. Bayer emphasizes that this extended spectrum of protection will support healthier establishment and more resilient crop development.

Beyond disease control, the product has been designed with practical ease of use in mind. EverGol Rise requires no mixing, functioning as a single-formulation treatment applied at 100 millilitres per 100 kilograms of seed. It also comes in conveniently sized 9-litre jugs and 27-litre drums, giving seed treaters flexibility during high-demand operational periods.

Bryan Bryson, Marketing Portfolio Lead for Crop Protection in Western Canada, highlights that disease pressure continues to challenge pulse producers, and the new formulation responds directly to grower needs for improved pathogen control and operational simplicity. He expressed confidence that EverGol Rise will deliver measurable benefits heading into the 2026 growing season.

Bayer conducted more than 90 pre-commercial field trials across Western Canada in spring 2025, collaborating with agronomists, seed treatment facilities, and growers. Trial participants, including Stamp Seeds of Alberta, reported strong results. Matt Stamp noted that EverGol Rise flowed efficiently through seed treatment equipment, offered excellent seed coverage, and allowed flexibility in water-volume mixing during application.

EverGol Rise will be fully available for purchase for the 2026 growing season, marking an important step forward in supporting healthier pulse crops and more efficient on-farm operations.
