Parijat Industries Launches Patented Insecticide NILANIX SC to Combat Plant Hopper Threat in Paddy

Parijat Industries (India) Limited has announced the launch of NILANIX SC, a new patented insecticide designed to effectively manage Brown Plant Hoppers (BPH) and White Backed Plant Hoppers (WBPH) in paddy cultivation. The introduction of this advanced formulation further strengthens the company’s crop protection portfolio, particularly in the rice-growing segment.

Plant hopper infestations have emerged as a serious challenge for paddy farmers across Asia in recent years, often leading to severe yield losses and, in extreme cases, complete crop failure. In response to this growing threat, NILANIX SC has been developed as a targeted solution suitable for application during critical growth stages of the paddy crop, helping farmers protect their fields from damaging hopper attacks.

NILANIX SC is a three-way combination insecticide formulated with Pymetrozine 14.8%, Fipronil 7.5%, and Dinotefuran 4.8% (w/w SC). This combination is designed to deliver effective and sustained control over plant hopper populations, addressing resistance issues while supporting stable crop productivity.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Uday Raj Anand, CEO – Domestic Business, Parijat Industries, said that the product reflects the company’s strong farmer-first approach. He noted that NILANIX SC is the outcome of extensive field evaluations and has been developed with a clear focus on sustainable agriculture. He added that the launch marks an important milestone, expanding Parijat’s portfolio of patented products, which already includes well-known brands such as Velektin, Xyfen Ultra, and Dahan.

Emphasizing its commercial relevance, Mr. Ajit Shankhdhar, President – Domestic Brand Business, stated that NILANIX SC will play a vital role for the company’s sales teams and channel partners, significantly strengthening Parijat’s presence in the paddy protection market.

From a strategic perspective, Mr. Surender Agarwal, Strategic Marketing Head, highlighted that NILANIX SC has been specifically designed keeping current Indian farming conditions in mind, making it a valuable addition to the company’s paddy-focused solutions.

The product will be made available through Parijat Industries’ nationwide distribution network, with a phased rollout planned across additional states in the coming months. With this launch, Parijat Industries reaffirms its commitment to innovation-driven, practical solutions aimed at safeguarding farmers’ crops and improving agricultural resilience
