JK Tyre Marks Manufacturing Excellence on World Manufacturing Day

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a leading player in India’s tyre industry and a global mobility solutions provider, celebrated World Manufacturing Day by highlighting its achievements in safety, sustainability, and operational excellence across its manufacturing facilities.

Guided by its ‘Safety First’ philosophy, JK Tyre has received the prestigious Five-Star Safety Rating from the British Safety Council for all its plants in India and Mexico. This recognition also brought the Sword of Honour to every facility, placing the company among a select global group recognized for exemplary health and safety standards.

On the sustainability front, JK Tyre’s Chennai and Mysuru plants were awarded the Globe of Honour, acknowledging outstanding leadership and continuous improvement in environmental management. Demonstrating further commitment to transparency, JK Tyre became the first Indian tyre manufacturer to publish Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for three of its products Vikrant, Cavendish, and Chennai offering verified data on their lifecycle environmental impact.

Aligned with its Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), JK Tyre aims to reduce carbon intensity by 50% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Its Chennai plant is ISCC Plus certified, ensuring the use of traceable, responsibly sourced renewable and recycled materials, reinforcing the company’s leadership in circular and green manufacturing.
