Gencrest Appoints Navdeep Mehta as Business Head – Agribusiness

Gencrest has announced the appointment of Navdeep Mehta as its new Business Head – Agribusiness, strengthening its leadership team with an industry veteran who brings over 25 years of extensive experience in marketing, sales, business operations, P&L management, and customer-focused strategy. Mehta is widely recognised for his customer-first approach and ability to drive growth and operational excellence across the agribusiness and crop protection sectors.

Prior to joining Gencrest, Mehta served as Chief Executive Officer at Growero Technologies Pvt. Ltd., where he led key initiatives in agricultural innovation, digital transformation, and nationwide market expansion. His strategic insights have also supported global knowledge platforms including GLG, Knowledge Ridge, Infollion Research Services Limited, proSapient, and Guidepoint, where he contributed as a Network Expert on agri-solutions and industry trends.

Earlier in his career, Mehta held significant leadership roles at Godrej Agrovet Limited as National Sales Manager and AVP – Crop Protection, where he managed large-scale national sales operations. His experience with Syngenta further strengthened his capabilities in market strategy, portfolio development, and farmer-centric crop protection solutions.

Gencrest stated that Mehta’s appointment is a strong step toward advancing the company’s mission to accelerate innovation and sustainable growth in the agribusiness ecosystem. Leveraging his deep industry knowledge and proven leadership record, Mehta is expected to drive strategic transformation and create long-term value for stakeholders.
