Jharkhand has been nationally recognized for its pioneering climate-smart agriculture initiatives, including its GIS-based farming programs and the innovative ‘Agri Stack’ scheme. The recognition comes following a recent eco-survey commending the state’s efforts to enhance agricultural productivity while promoting environmental sustainability.
By leveraging real-time data analytics, geospatial technologies, and precision farming tools, the initiatives help farmers make informed decisions to adapt to climate risks, optimize resource use, and increase crop yields. The ‘Agri Stack’ framework, in particular, integrates multiple agricultural schemes and data streams, improving policy implementation and ensuring timely support for farmers across the state.
Officials noted that Jharkhand’s model offers a replicable blueprint for other states, demonstrating how technology-driven interventions can strengthen resilience in agriculture, promote sustainable practices, and boost farmers’ income in the face of climate challenges.
The recognition underscores Jharkhand’s commitment to innovative, data-driven solutions in agriculture, aligning with national goals of sustainable growth, digital farming adoption, and climate-resilient agricultural development.
