China Approves 448 Pesticide Products in November 2025, Highlighting First-Time Registration of Bisulflufen

From November 2 to December 8, 2025, China’s ICAMA approved the registration of 448 pesticide products, reflecting continued growth in the country’s agrochemical sector. This batch of registrations includes a diverse range of products spanning herbicides, insecticides, acaricides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators.

Among the notable approvals, Jiangsu Youjia Crop Protection’s bisulflufen 95% technical concentrate (TC) received its first-time registration, designated for export to Cambodia. Other key registrations include multiple new TCs of pyroxasulfon, saflufenacil, sulfosulfuron, chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, fluopyram, trifloxystrobin, and fluxapyroxad, among others. Some registrations are specifically for export markets, such as sulfosulfuron and quinmerac TCs for Cambodia and chlorantraniliprole for Brazil.

The approvals cover 201 active ingredients applied across 299 products. Chlorantraniliprole leads with 30 new registrations, followed by clothianidin, atrazine, fludioxonil, and thiamethoxam with 15–20 registrations each. Other active ingredients with significant registrations include glufosinate-P, pyraclostrobin, spirotetramat, fluopyram, chlorfenapyr, metalaxyl-M, trifloxystrobin, pyroxasulfon, indoxacarb, abamectin, bifenthrin, azoxystrobin, and cyhalofop-butyl.

In terms of formulations, the 448 products encompass 19 formulation types, led by SCs (35.18%) and SLs (13.01%), with EC, WG, GR, FS, and ME formulations also well represented. The registrations are designed for application across major field crops including rice, wheat, corn, soybean, cotton, and peanut, as well as a range of vegetables and fruit crops, with some products approved for bare land or indoor/outdoor applications.

The registered pesticides target a broad spectrum of pests and diseases. Herbicides primarily address annual weeds, grassy weeds, and broad-leaved weeds, while insecticides and acaricides focus on pests such as aphids, stem borers, leaf rollers, spider mites, thrips, planthoppers, whiteflies, and armyworms. Fungicides are approved for blast, mildew, root rot, bacterial and viral diseases, among others.

This November registration batch highlights China’s ongoing commitment to supporting agricultural productivity and pest management, while enabling both domestic and export-oriented growth in the pesticide industry.
