The fellowship will support their doctoral research for a period of three years.
Both students are pursuing their Ph.D. in the Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering under the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, PAU.
Er Gagandeep Singh Gill is conducting research on “Development of Vision-Based Picking Mechanism for Chili (Capsicum annuum L.)” under the guidance of Dr. Varinder Singh Saimbhi, Extension Scientist (FMPE).
Meanwhile, Er Davinder Singh is working on “Design, Development and Evaluation of Green Chickpea Pod Stripper”, mentored by Dr. Rajesh Goyal, Principal Scientist (FMPE).
The fellowship includes a monthly stipend of ₹42,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per rules, along with an annual contingency grant of ₹20,000 to support research activities.
The university leadership congratulated the scholars on their achievement. Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr. M.I.S.
