SAP and Syngenta Announce Multiyear Partnership to Scale AI-Driven Agriculture Solutions Worldwide

Technology giant SAP and global agri-innovation leader Syngenta have launched a major multiyear strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI-powered solutions across international farming systems. The partnership seeks to integrate advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time data intelligence to help farmers optimize crop yields, streamline operations, and improve resource-use efficiency.

Under the agreement, SAP’s enterprise technology stack—including cloud-based data platforms and AI-driven predictive tools—will be combined with Syngenta’s agronomic expertise and extensive field network. The objective is to build scalable digital frameworks capable of supporting farmers at every stage of production, from planting and crop monitoring to harvest planning and risk mitigation.

A core focus of the collaboration will be developing decision-support systems that provide actionable, field-level insights, such as early detection of crop stress, optimized input management, and adaptive strategies for climate-related challenges. By integrating diverse datasets—weather patterns, soil characteristics, satellite imagery, and crop performance data—the two companies aim to deliver more accurate forecasting and enhanced operational visibility.

SAP and Syngenta emphasized that access, scalability, and farmer usability will be central to the deployment strategy, ensuring that advanced technologies benefit operations of all sizes, from large commercial farms to smallholders.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen digital innovation pipelines across the agricultural sector, enabling more resilient and sustainable farming systems.
