From Village to Venus: Manegar Sarmas Vali’s Bold Leap into India’s Space Tech Future

In a country where dreams often struggle to escape gravity, Manegar Sarmas Vali has launched one of India’s most inspiring space journeys from a modest village in Andhra Pradesh to founding EtherWing Aerospace, a fast-rising name in the aerospace and satellite technology sector.

While his peers were focused on grades and placements, Manegar was writing satellite proposals facing 7 to 8 rejections. Undeterred, he turned failure into fuel. In 2024, with support from REVA University and a ₹5 crore seed fund, Manegar did the unthinkable: he dropped out of college, mortgaged his father’s land, and launched EtherWing Aerospace.

But he didn’t do it alone. Manegar brought in some of India’s most seasoned minds retired ISRO and DRDO scientists as advisors. With a young and dynamic team of 75+ experts, including propulsion engineers and mission analysts, EtherWing is now building cutting-edge drones, rockets, and cube satellites.

EtherWing Aerospace Today:

  • Valued at ₹100 crore
  • Collaborating on a ₹100 crore project with a German aerospace firm
  • Granted 22 acres of land by the Andhra Pradesh Government
  • On a mission to revolutionize India’s presence in space

Manegar’s story is more than just a startup success it’s a tale of relentless ambition, grassroots grit, and belief in the impossible. From sketching satellite ideas in college to steering billion-rupee collaborations, his journey proves that no dream is too big, no origin too small.

A village boy who once dreamed of meeting scientists is now building satellites with them.
