PI AgSciences Expands Global Reach With Stronger Focus on Sustainable Crop Solutions

PI, a leading player in agrochemicals and crop-protection technologies, has announced a significant step in its global growth strategy with the rebranding of its recently acquired Plant Health Care Plc to PI AgSciences. The move reflects the company’s ambition to position itself at the forefront of sustainable agriculture while strengthening its presence across international markets.

The acquisition and subsequent integration of Plant Health Care Plc mark a strategic milestone for PI, enabling it to broaden its portfolio with advanced biological solutions. By adopting the new name, PI AgSciences aims to communicate a unified identity and a clearer mission: to deliver innovative, environmentally responsible products that support farmers in improving crop productivity while reducing ecological impact.

PI AgSciences now operates across more than 40 countries, supported by a global workforce of scientists, agronomists, and technical experts. The company has established an extensive R&D and manufacturing ecosystem that includes four research and development centres dedicated to biologicals and sustainable technologies, as well as seven advanced manufacturing facilities that supply high-quality crop-care products to markets worldwide.

According to PI, the rebrand is more than a cosmetic change—it represents a coordinated effort to accelerate innovation in sustainable crop solutions. With growing global concerns about climate change, soil health, and food security, the company believes the demand for biologicals and eco-friendly alternatives will continue to rise. PI AgSciences intends to leverage its expanded scientific network to develop next-generation products that enhance plant health, improve nutrient efficiency, and reduce dependence on traditional chemical inputs.

The company’s leadership emphasises that the combined expertise of PI and the former Plant Health Care Plc will enable faster product development cycles, deeper market penetration, and more robust collaboration with farmers and agricultural partners. By unifying its operations under the PI AgSciences banner, the organisation expects to create a more agile structure capable of delivering tailored solutions to diverse farming systems across different geographies.

As global agriculture confronts increasing pressure to produce more food with fewer resources, PI AgSciences aims to play a pivotal role in shaping a more sustainable future. The company says its renewed identity underscores its long-term commitment to responsible innovation, global expansion, and the advancement of agricultural technologies that support both productivity and environmental stewardship.
